In the summer time it just seems like there is so much going on! Parties, BBQ’s, Summer Fairs and so many things swimming, beach, bonfires, and much more. But in the winter time when it is chilly out many of us tend to lounge a bit too much. Maybe it is because we are not amused? Or maybe because we just cannot find anything to do. We have came up with six things to do during the winter.
It may be cold and we may feel like being a couch potato but there are still many things you can do during this time.
- Pick up some extra work – Jobs are limited during the summer as all the teenyboppers are out hunting down each Summer job they can. If you need a little cash or want something and are willing to work for it during the Winter is a great time to pick up a extra job. It never hurts to put a bit more cash in your pocket!
- Start Blogging – In the Summer you may be too busy outside doing some sort of shenanigans but instead of watching TV why not work on your writing skills. Even if you are not the best writer remember the good old sane “Practice makes PERFECT” and that is damn well true. Blogging can help keep you entertained, will give you a way to express your feelings to the world and it will improve your writing skills. Sounds a lot more useful then watching re-runs of Jersey Shore, to me anyway!
- Pick up a book – Reading lets you escape if you want it to be summer it can be summer if you want to live on mars you can live on mars. Reading lets you explore all new lands. Some of us we’re never readers but you can become one. Maybe you just have not found the right book!
- Clean up your Facebook friends: This may sound like a small task but this can take many long decision filled hours but there comes a time you no longer need your ex-girlfriend, people you accepted because you felt bad, people that you have seen but do not know and do not want to know on your Facebook friends. These days we share our lives on Facebook! Do you really want to let your ex-girlfriend know you are at the Starbucks on main street? Out with the old and in with the new!
- Try a new recipe – If you are like me you don’t like cooking but we all should open our mind up to new things! This winter you should try a new recipe. Even if you refuse to believe it, food takes a large role in all our lives. What do we do during parties? Eat. What do we do at events? Eat. There are many social aspects of food. Why not learn a new recipe, invite some friends over and impress!
